About Rose MorningMist

I am a creative writer who played Pixie Hollow for almost five years before it closed in 2013. Apart from when I'm blogging for the PBC, I enjoy creating art, playing music and writing more stories - preferably alongside a bar of chocolate. ;)

Pixie Hollow - Our Biggest Secret

Hey everyone,

So recently, I was taking some personality quizzes (because why not?) and stumbled across this particular quiz:

elements1

Intrigued, I took the quiz and end up getting (surprise, surprise) Water!  😛

elements2I was pretty happy with my result (obviously, I mean, I am a Water Talent). It also came with a description underneath:

 Your element is WATER.
There is a lot of depth to you, probably much more than you let on. You prefer peace and little conflict but have no issue standing your ground when you are wronged. You have deep emotional currents, some you can’t even explain, many might be intuitive. You must remember that despite your strong empathy, you cannot judge people so quickly. You also need to learn that it is okay to say no. Your avoidance of problems leaves you in more trouble then when you deal with them. That aside you are…

Sneak Peeks – Part 3

Fly with you all,

By now some of you may have noticed my Sneak Peeks program. After months of slacking off (sorry Phoebe), I decided to release a sneak peek from five all-new stories that I’ve never mentioned before, and post one up on each of the blogs I guest author on.

Fun Fact: Until Phoebe corrected me, I spelt peek with an ‘a’, as in, the peak of a mountain. Oops!  😛

This is Part 3 of 5 – you can find the first two parts on Raindrop’s and Minerva’s blogs.

This sneak peek is from a story currently sitting in my folder under the name Poisoned. Sounds a little sinister…  😛

Anyway, hope you like it.  🙂

Poisoned – Sneak Peek

“Well?” I ask.

“She’s fine Miss MorningMist. A little shaken up, but fine.”

“She is not fine, she’s curled up in a ball and refuses to move!”

“Miss MorningMist, your sister has no fever, no symptoms of any physical illness. If you want further help, I would consider a psychiatrist.”

“She’s not crazy, and if you refuse to do something, I’ll just find a jingling Healer who will.”

“I’m afraid that won’t be possible for the next few days.”

What?!” I can’t believe I’m hearing this. “Listen pixie, my sister is sick. She doesn’t eat, she doesn’t sleep and your job is to help cure people, so do something!

“Miss MorningMist, we have much bigger concerns than yours right now.” Says the Healer impatiently.

“What?” I say, suspicious. “What aren’t you telling me?”

The Healer sniffs. “That is none of your concern.” She says.

I shove my hand into my pocket and pull out my ID. “Level Two clearance,” I say angrily. “Probably much higher than yours. Now tell me!”

The Healer sighs and rubs her head. “It’s the Queen, Miss MorningMist. She’s dying.”

~~

You may have noticed that all of these sneak peeks so far involve Queen Clarion. I have several stories in my folder exploring the Queen’s relations with Rose and how she fits into everyday life in the Hollow.

So what do you think? Did you like it? Any theories on what may happen next? Let me know in the comments. I love to hear feedback.  ❤

If you’d like to see more of my stories, check out my Forgotten Tales page on my blog.

Thanks for reading,

Frozen: Coincidence or Not?

Hi pixies! 😉

To start off, I want to say I’m sooo sorry I’ve been such a slack guest author – I’ve been pretty busy lately. :/

Fortunately, I’m on holidays now, so wings crossed I’ll be able to pick up the slack. 🙂

So, a while back, I did a post called ‘Fight Song – Coincidence or Not?’ which got a huge response from the PBC crowd – so I thought, why not write up another post in a similar fashion?

This is based on something I’ve wondered ever since I first watched Frozen. Everyone knows what Elsa’s dress looks like, right?

fdWell, the first time I saw it, I immediately thought of this PH outfit:

Here’s the shoes:

Is it just me, or is this outfit very similar to Elsa’s?

It makes me wonder if the outfit was a trail to see how popular the style would be, or if it was based on this dress.

I was sure there was another outfit very similar to this one, but I can’t seem to find a picture of it… :/

What do you think, pixies? Could it just be a coincidence?

I suppose we’ll never know. 🙂

Cya ’round the waterfall,

– Rose ❤

As Morning Dawns…

Fly with you! 😀

My name is Rose MorningMist. You may have heard of me. Recently, I was given an invite to participate on this blog, and I was happy to accept. 🙂

Like Phoebe, I played Pixie Hollow. I was a founding fairy – a water talent – born on the 2nd October, 2008.This year would have been my 7th in the Hollow. After PH closed, I decided to take up blogging, and thus my blog was born, called ‘Pixie Hollow – Our Biggest Secret‘. As well as my own blog, I also star as a guest author on a few other PH blogs: Fly to Inspire, Crystal’s Hollow, Coconuts EPIC Disney Blog, Raindrops Reveries and finally, this one. 🙂

In my spare time I enjoy reading, art, creative writing and music (oh, and obviously blogging). I am also a complete chocoholic (My motto is ‘Chocolate solves everything’, because it does – sort of). 😛 Because I have so many blogs to post on, I may not post a lot… However, I will try to at least to one once a month. 🙂

Anyway, today is actually quite exciting for me, because I finally got around to publishing the first part to a series I’m writing called ‘The Lost Stories’. 😀 I’ve been working on it with the other Lost Writers for months now and finally, it’s done. I’m really pleased. I also wrote a blurb for it:

On the 19th of September, 2013, Pixie Hollow closed. But what happened to the PH population? Where did they go? And what happened to the Never Council and all the famous fairies?

Torn into tribes, the fairies of Pixie Hollow now trust no one but their own. The balance given in the Hollow is now gone, and it’s up to six fairies and their team to fix it.

What do you think? If you’re interested, click here to read it. 🙂

Anyway, thanks for reading,

– Rose ❤
